Sally, a non-Indigenous educator, has dedicated two decades to working exclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in education. Her career began with specialist teaching roles at Tagai College in the Torres Strait, laying the foundation for her ongoing work on the mainland. Sally has held various roles, including Director of Thursday Island Child Care Centre, Early Years teacher, and Academic Lecturer. She also served as Manager for Indigenous Education, influencing Queensland's Indigenous Education landscape significantly. Her notable work with the Cherbourg Aboriginal community and the Ration Shed Museum garnered commendation from the Minister for Education. Sally's passion lies in embedding Indigenous stories into the National Curriculum. She was part of the award-winning Kids in Action team and received recognition at the Educational Publishing Australia Awards in 2020 for her project "Our Land, Our Stories."
